The Conquest of Jericho -- Joshua 6

Joshua 6 speaks to me of spiritual warfare. What God has called us into, we can't take it in the usual way, like everyone else does. The plans, the strategies, the understandings... are all good, but if it's a God thing, it has to be done in God's way. We have to win first in the spiritual realm before we can see the result in the natural realm. Walking around the city is like prayer. consistent, persistent prayer. And the last day walking around the city 7 times suggests to me fast, all night prayers, 24 hours prolonged prayers...until the breakthrough comes. I'm guessing while we're praying, God's sending the angels. But sometimes it takes a while for the angels to come to the place and also to have the enough numbers. And when we shout, we're actually ordering, commanding the angels to take actions. This chapter goes perfect with the proverb verse today,"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
