Achan and his family stoned to death - Joshua 7

What a terrible thing to sin in the glory land? Maybe that's why out of mercy God keeps most of the people out of his promised land as they simply can't handle the glory with the intergrity needed.

What a solemn lesson for all of us? Sometimes all we want is the promised land, we want to get there as quick as possible, but if somewhere inside of us is still craving for ungodly things, it will get us into serious trouble sooner or later in the glory land. It's better to be tried first(as in today's psalm verse 12:6). Labour pains are severe, but it's better than being stoned to death and then be burnt with fire.

Sometimes we think intergrity is just a flash word, especially in today's society. But without intergrity, man cannot stand before the glory of God. Sometimes we think if we just steal a little bit of God's glory to ourselves we'd feel good and nobody will notice, but when God's wrath comes upon that "little" sin, oh my, I don't even want to think about what worse we could expect.

Something we should always remember.
