Be ambitious -- 1 Thessalonians 4:11

1Thess 4:11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life... Interesting that the verse yesterday of Eccl speaks of quietness: strength, wisdom all come from a place of quietness. The quiet place is the place that we meet God and receive wisdom and strength from God. Have you thought about that we need to be ambitious when it comes to spending time with God? Most of us are more likely ambitious toward work and career, but the Bible actually teaches us to be ambitious in spending time with God in quietness. Joyce Meyer at Hillsong Conference said she spent 3 hours every morning in quietness, and that's how her massive success is based upon. So if we have any ambition for real success in life as a Christian, I think we need to firstly be ambitious toward the quiet time. I think today's proverb verse3:9-10 also refers to time as well. Make the time out with God our first priority before we spend our time doing all the other things.
